NYC: Day 2, Sick In Manhattan

This morning I went to an adorable, family-owned diner in the UES. I also witnessed a conversation between two New Yorkers that was so New York I could only assume they were actors paid to amuse tourists like me.

Then my friend and I walked through the wind I felt like I couldn't complain about because I'm from Fargo. We wound up at a couple coffee shops, and I was able to get a fun section of my novel written.

I have a bugger of a cold which unfortunately prevented us from doing anything too wild tonight, but we ordered takeout, which was an adventure in and of itself. How are there so many options for takeouts. How are there so many restaurants. Why am I here for only five days.

So much food. So little time.
